There is an increasing demand for more cost effective heating systems and heat pumps or ground source heat pumps utilising heat from earth, ground water or outside air are an important step for heating systems now and in the future.
Heat pumps work very simply in much the same way as a fridge but in reverse. In a fridge the heat is transported from inside to outside while a heat pump takes heat stored in the environment and transports it via the heating system to the house interior
Heat pumps draw heat from the ground via a ground collector (slinky) or a ground probe (bore hole) or extracting heat from the air which has been warmed by the sun and does not burn fuel or emit pollutants.
Heat pumps supply more energy than they consume, and currently heat pump systems can supply as much as 3-4kW of thermal energy for just 1kW of energy input and heat pump outputs range from 4.5kW upto 106kW and more for larger commercial installations.
Heat pumps can provide heat all year but with the added benefit of natural cooling by allowing the system to work in reverse by extracting the heat from the building back into the earth.
The range of heat pumps offers tailor-made solutions for low energy housing, new build and even modernisation projects. Vitotec Solutions together with ’s experience in developing and manufacturing heating systems is a guarantee of quality, reliability and operational safety.
